Noxie Totoyi was born in Cape Town, South Africa and moved to Guguletu in 1963. Noxie attended Fezeka High School and received a teaching certificate from the Eastern Cape in 1976. She began her teaching career at the Mkhanyiseli Primary School, where she worked for 35 years. Noxie received a BA degree from the University of the Western Cape in 1990. Noxie retired from the John Pama Primary School in March 2016, after 40 years of teaching primary school and being a Deputy Principal since 1997.

Acacia Global met Noxie in 2008 at the JL Zwane Centre where she has attended church since 2000 and has been a zone leader since 2005. She has been the zone treasurer for four years.

Noxie loves to visit with friends, and listen to jazz and gospel music. On weekends she works at her friend’s restaurant, Mzoli’s in Guguletu.

Acacia Global is so happy to have Noxie as a part of our team working alongside us when we are in Cape Town and being there to coordinate Acacia’s programs and projects when we are not.

Noxie’s smile and positive energy light up the room when she enters and her eagerness to assist us and help others makes her a wonderful addition to Acacia Global.
