Open Arms International Legacy Fund will Improve Health of South Africans

At the end of 2015, Open Arms of Minnesota disbanded its International Program and transferred its assets to Acacia Global. With the funds, and the support of Open Arms, Acacia Global has launched the Open Arms International Legacy Fund. The Fund will honor Open Arms’ donors’ intentions by funding nutrition and health needs in sub-Saharan Africa.
The first project to be funded through the Open Arms International Legacy Fund is to include fresh vegetables in emergency food parcels. These food parcels are distributed to families in the townships of South Africa who are impacted by ill health and poverty.
Donors may continue to designate their contributions to the Open Arms International Legacy Fund and we will continue to honor the work that Open Arms began in South Africa more than 15 years ago.
